Genetic tests from LABOGEN

Genetic tests from LABOGEN

Experience meets quality

LABOGEN is the genetics department of the Laboklin laboratory, which offers one of the largest ranges of veterinary tests in Europe and brings together experts from all diagnostic areas in one laboratory. Particular emphasis is placed on the best quality standards, advice, service and communication (the laboratory is accredited in accordance with DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018).

LABOGEN offers veterinarians, breeders and pet owners the opportunity to carry out genetic analyses on dogs, cats and horses. Genetic tests can be used to investigate the presence of hereditary diseases and identify possible carriers. This enables targeted mating of the breeding animals and can contribute to diagnosis if the disease is already present. Genetic tests for certain coat colour characteristics and hair length can provide indications of the possible appearance of the offspring. The creation of DNA profiles enables so-called parentage checks, so that the parentage of puppies, kittens or foals can be clearly proven on the basis of certain DNA markers.

Use our online store and benefit from the many advantages: Use the detailed descriptions to find out about the tests on offer and request test kits for sending in sample materials. The online store makes it quick and easy to request DNA tests. You can view the results of your previous examinations at any time in your protected customer account. You can also request additional genetic analyses for your animals here, as the DNA already isolated is stored by us for up to 5 years.
