General description

Dogs affected by LPPN3 often show breathing difficulties as the first sign noticed by loud and gagging breathing and leading to laryngeal paralysis. Other typical signs of a polyneuropathy such as gait disorders can also occur.

Other typical signs of a polyneuropathy such as gait disorders can also occur. In addition to this mutation, there are other causal mutations that lead to the similar diseases LPN1 or LPN2 in Leonberger.
