General description
A mutation in F11 gene leads to factor XI deficiency in Kerry Blue Terriers. Affected dogs sometimes show severe protracted bleeding occurring 12 to 24 hours after surgical interventions. Affected dogs rarely have a mild spontaneous bleeding tendency, and many are asymptomatic.
