Cela peut entra\u00eener un <strong>affaiblissement<\/strong> progressif <strong>des os<\/strong>, <strong>des probl\u00e8mes r\u00e9naux<\/strong> pouvant aller jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 l&rsquo;insuffisance r\u00e9nale, ainsi que <strong>d&rsquo;autres troubles m\u00e9taboliques<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Chez <strong>le Wolfsspitz\/Keeshond <\/strong>, une variante du <em>g\u00e8ne SIRT6<\/em> <strong>a \u00e9t\u00e9 <\/strong>identifi\u00e9e, qui est associ\u00e9e \u00e0 cette maladie. Cette maladie se transmet <strong>selon un mode autosomique dominant<\/strong>. <strong>L&rsquo;apparition tardive de la maladie<\/strong> constitue un d\u00e9fi particulier pour l&rsquo;\u00e9levage, car les sympt\u00f4mes du PHPT n&rsquo;apparaissent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement qu&rsquo;apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;\u00e2ge de 8 ans, c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire souvent \u00e0 un moment o\u00f9 les chiens ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9s pour la reproduction.
