Elle se produit lorsqu&rsquo;un caillot <strong>de sang (thrombus)<\/strong> obstrue une art\u00e8re et interrompt ainsi le flux sanguin vers les organes ou les membres. Les cons\u00e9quences sont souvent des <strong>l\u00e9sions tissulaires<\/strong> graves ou<strong> des infarctus<\/strong>.<\/p><div>Pour <strong>pr\u00e9venir la TEA<\/strong> chez les animaux atteints, on utilise souvent <strong>le clopidogrel<\/strong>, un <strong>antiagr\u00e9gant plaquettaire<\/strong> qui inhibe la formation de caillots sanguins en bloquant les <strong>r\u00e9cepteurs ADP <\/strong>. Cependant, dans la pratique, l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 du traitement varie fortement, ce qui indique la pr\u00e9sence d&rsquo;une <strong>r\u00e9sistance au clopidogrel<\/strong> chez certains animaux.<\/div><div> <br>Des recherches scientifiques ont maintenant permis d&rsquo;identifier une <strong>variante g\u00e9n\u00e9tique du <em>g\u00e8ne P2RY1<\/em> <\/strong>qui code pour l&rsquo;un des r\u00e9cepteurs ADP.
